Dr. Romero is currently in his third year of service as the Principal of Centennial High School. Previously, Dr. Romero served as the Principal of Lakeside High School, an AVID National Demonstration School in the Lake Elsinore Unified School District. Before his tenure at Lakeside, Dr. Romero served as the principal of Ray Wiltsey Middle School, an International Baccalaureate School in the Ontario-Montclair School District, where he facilitated the collaborative efforts in transforming the school into a state and national “School to Watch” and “PBIS Silver Award” winner, both within a span of three years. Additionally, Dr. Romero has served in the following capacities: middle school assistant principal (Serrano Middle School- AVID National Demonstration School), district program specialist for curriculum and instruction (secondary schools), and English Teacher.

Dr. Romero’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s degree in Education, both from Azusa Pacific University, an Administrative Credential from California Baptist University, a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California (USC). Furthermore, in the Summer of 2017, Dr. Romero was selected to participate in the National Institute for Urban School Leaders at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where he was the only representative from the state of California.


Moreover, Dr. Romero is an active member of the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) and the California Association of Latino Superintendents and Administrators (CALSA), the latter for which he completed a two-year mentorship program for aspiring superintendents. Dr. Romero now gives back to the CALSA organization by serving as a mentor for up-and-coming administrators.

Dr. Romero is happily married to his wife of 13 years, and they are blessed to have two beautiful daughters, Leazah and Talya, both of whom attend schools in the CNUSD district.

“Every Student, Every Minute, Every Day” remains a personal motto that Dr. Romero keeps at the forefront of his mind throughout his journey as an educational leader.

Tony Barile is the Athletic Director at Centennial High School, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a passion for sports. With a remarkable career spanning 17 years as a head football coach at four different high schools, as well as serving the past seven years as an assistant here at Centennial, Tony has left an indelible mark on the school's athletic program. His dedication extends beyond the football field, as he has also served as a head track coach, head golf coach, and assistant girls' basketball coach.

Tony's commitment to education is evident through his tenure as a teacher, which began in 1997 across five different high schools. His extensive background in coaching and teaching has allowed him to positively impact the lives of countless student-athletes, inspiring them to achieve both on and off the field.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Tony finds joy in his family life. He is happily married to his wife, Alexis Barile, and together they have three children and two grandchildren. As the new Athletic Director at Centennial High School, Tony Barile is poised to lead the athletic department with his expertise, passion, and unwavering commitment to the success of the students and the school.

Before becoming an Assistant Principal of Activities, Mrs. Vaughan taught AP & IB Psychology, Language Arts, and Peer Counseling.

She earned her bachelor's degrees in both Political Science and Psychology from the University of California, Riverside, her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and her master’s degree in Educational Administration from Point Loma Nazarene University.  

Mrs. Vaughan enjoys spending family time with her husband and three boys, as well as reading, baking, and practicing yoga.  

Mrs. Vaughan takes pride in being a long-time, veteran Husky and looks forward to planning a year filled with welcoming and meaningful activities for all Cen10 Huskies.



Josh Godinez, Assistant Principal

Josh Godinez, Assistant Principal, grew up in the Coachella Valley. A proud graduate of Cathedral City High School in 1997, Mr. Godinez left the Palm Springs area to pursue higher education in the Inland Empire. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/Administrative Studies from the University of California, Riverside, and a Master of Arts Degree in Education from Claremont Graduate University.

Most recently, Mr. Godinez was honored to spend seven amazing years as a school counselor at Centennial High School. Before Centennial High School, Mr. Godinez served as Head Counselor for Jurupa Hills High School in Fontana. He is the Past Board Chair for the California Association of School Counselors (2020-2022) and was the 2019 California School Counselor of the Year. Mr. Godinez is a California State SARB Board Member, has served on the California MTSS Design Committee, the California State Superintendent of Public Instruction’s Data Transition Team, the California Department of Education’s Mental Health Coalition, the Pupil Personnel Services Coalition, and Chairs the California Association of School Counselors Government Relations Committee. Professional achievements include assisting with the update of language for CA EdCode 49600 (2022) and serving as a lead contributor for both the California Standards for the School Counseling Profession (2023) and the Continuum for the Advancement of School Counseling Practice (2025).

Before becoming a school counselor, Mr. Godinez taught high school social science for almost a decade at both AB Miller High School and Summit High School. In addition to teaching, Mr. Godinez found joy as a Beginning Teacher Support Provider, where he had the pleasure of supporting many new teachers.

Beyond secondary education, Mr. Godinez also previously served as an adjunct professor in the Department of Teacher Education at Claremont Graduate University.  


Dr. Cherilynne Hollowell, Assistant Principal

Dr. Cherilynne Hollowell brings 18 years of dedicated educational service and a diverse professional background to her role as a transformational leader and equity advocate. Before entering education, she earned an Associate of Arts in Police Science and worked with justice-involved youth and adults, preparing them for reentry into society. She later earned a B.A. in History, Political Science, and Law from Virginia Union University. She held leadership roles in youth residential services, including managing and training staff at a 156-bed group home. She also excelled as an Avon District Sales Manager, growing million-dollar districts before finding her true calling in education.

Dr. Hollowell earned her teaching credential from CSU Fullerton, an M.A. in History from Cal Poly Pomona, and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Brandman University, where her dissertation focused on Culturally Responsive School Leadership.

She began her teaching career at John W. North High School as a History-Social Science and AVID teacher, where she also served as a Mock Trial coach, BSU mentor coordinator, department co-chair, and more. Her instructional experience spans AP, Honors, General Ed, and SDAIE courses, including AP U.S. History, Government, Macroeconomics, World History, and AVID electives.

Her leadership journey continued as Assistant Principal at Sierra Middle School and Martin Luther King High School. Currently, she serves as adjunct faculty at the University of Massachusetts Global and California Baptist University, where she is also a member of the Metcalf School of Education Executive Council.



Alicia Pike-Green, Assistant Principal

Ms. Pike-Green's journey as an educator began while serving as a Peace Corps volunteer, where she taught 9th grade English in a small village in Benin, West Africa. Since then, she has worked in several different districts before joining CNUSD in 2013, where she taught Language Arts at Corona High School for six years.

Most recently, Ms. Pike-Green worked as a Teacher on Special Assignment supporting Language Arts and literacy at secondary schools across the district. This is her first year as an Assistant Principal, and she is thrilled to join the Husky family.

She earned a BA in Communication from UC San Diego, her teaching credential from San Francisco State University, her MA in English Literature from CSU Long Beach, and her administrative credential from the Riverside County Office of Education.

Ms. Pike-Green enjoys spending time with two daughters, especially traveling and binge-watching TV shows. She is passionate about ensuring that all students receive a rigorous, engaging, and relevant educational experience.

Mr. Schweitzer brings a wealth of experience to his role as Assistant Principal at Centennial High. With a career spanning 18 years as a History teacher in the Corona-Norco Unified School District, he has demonstrated a deep commitment to education. For the past decade, Mr. Schweitzer has also served as the Track and Field and Cross Country coach at Centennial High, fostering athletic excellence alongside academic achievement.

His educational background includes a BA in History and Journalism from Cal State Northridge, complemented by an MA in Cross-Cultural Education, which equips him with a broad perspective on diverse learning environments.

Mr. Schweitzer's transition to the administrative team as an Assistant Principal marks an exciting chapter in his career, where he aims to leverage his extensive classroom and coaching experience to support the Centennial community in new and impactful ways.
