Message to Senior Families Sent 5/15

Good afternoon seniors and senior families,

We are thrilled to be able to safely celebrate our Class of 2020 Graduates. As Dr. Lin mentioned in his message this morning, our individual graduation ceremonies will take place at Centennial High School on the following dates:

Tuesday, June 2, 2020: Student last names A-L

Wednesday, June 3, 2020: Student last names M-Z

  • An email regarding cap & gown/yearbook distribution will be emailed home on Monday, May 18, 2020.

  • Specific assigned appointment times for graduation will be emailed home on Wednesday, May 20, 2020.

As we finalize our graduation plans, we need to ensure our seniors have an opportunity to turn in all items and clear obligations before we distribute caps and gowns . Senior textbook and equipment return will be held on Tuesday, May 19 from 9am - 2pm for last names A-L and Wednesday, May 20 from 9am -2pm for last names M-Z (please see the schedule below).

Books left in school-issued lockers will be retrieved and scanned in. Remaining items in senior lockers will be labeled, bagged, and returned on our diploma pick-up date (June 4, 2020). The item return dates will be a contactless drive-thru system. To return your items please enter campus through the staff parking lot entrance (in front of the Administration and PAC buildings), off of Rimpau Ave. You will then proceed towards the Main Gym and move along the access road around campus (See Map Below). Please note: failure to turn in books, equipment, and or pay obligation fines can result in you NOT receiving your cap and gown. Please adhere to your scheduled date and time.

Lights On Class of 2020

A message to our Seniors from our Superintendent, Dr. Lin:

"For our high school seniors, we see you, we feel for you, and we are with you to support you during this time.  Your achievements in our District will not be forgotten and have been impactful in leaving a legacy for the many students following in your footsteps. You are teaching us all how to cope in the face of great adversity with resilience, grace, and maturity. I am heavyhearted to share that due to the state’s closure, the Class of 2020’s traditional graduation ceremonies will not be held in June. However, the District will continue to work on alternative contingency plans regarding graduation to honor the class of 2020’s achievements as soon as we are able to."
