Welcome to the International Baccalaureate Programme at Centennial High School
For 9th and 10th grade, students may apply to participate in the IB Middle Years Programme. Please contact our IB Coordinator, Ms. Sheila Nguyen at [email protected]s for the MYP application.
Below outlines the opportunities to engage with the IB program in the 11th and 12th grade years. Please read each option thoroughly. Students must meet with our IB Coordinator, Ms. Sheila Nguyen to arrange an Individual IB Programme Plan meeting that best suits their educational goals.
Option #1
Full Diploma Programme
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is a rigorous, internationally recognized academic program designed for motivated students in grades 11 and 12. The program emphasizes critical thinking, intercultural understanding, research, and academic excellence while preparing students for success in college and beyond
Students must earn 24 out of 44 points to earn a full IB Diploma issued by IBO.
Students must complete:
- DP core: TOK (0 Period), CAS, Extended Essay, College Application supports
- Exams in 6 Academic Course Areas
- 2-3 SL courses/exams
- 3-4 HL courses/exams
- No more than 2 SL exams in grade 11
- 6 Internal and External Assessments REQUIRED

Option #2
Career Related Programme
The International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP) is designed for students who wish to combine academic studies with career-focused learning. The program provides a balanced education that develops both professional skills and academic knowledge, preparing students for college, career pathways, and lifelong success.
Students must complete:
- CP Core: PPS, Service Learning, Reflective Project
- 2 DP courses minimum per year with exam score of 3 or higher
- Complete CTE pathway
Option #3
Course Certificate Pathway
The IB Course Certificate Pathway offers students the opportunity to take two or more individual IB courses in subjects of interest without pursuing the full IB Diploma. This pathway allows students to experience the rigor and benefits of IB coursework while maintaining flexibility in their academic program.
Students must:
- Select two or more DP course each year of 11th & 12th grade
- Complete all associated internal & external assessments REQUIRED
- Score 4 or higher in the course to receive Course Certificate from IBO
