Choir

Centennial High School's Choirs are among one of the best programs offered for the performing arts. Led by Director Jakob Hesse, the choirs have gone on to earn Superior Ratings across multiple festivals and competitions throughout the Southern California Region. All choirs satisfy the category F requirement necessary for the A-G requirements for graduation.

There are four choirs currently offered at Centennial High School, Concert Choir, Intermediate Choir, Treble Choir, and the Madrigals Ensemble:

Concert Choir: Typically for 9-10 graders, there is no audition requirement; anyone can sign up and learn how to sing.

Intermediate Choir: Typically for 11-12 graders or students who have previously taken Concert Choir, there is no audition requirement; anyone can sign up and learn how to sing.

Treble Choir: An advanced Soprano and Alto choir for anyone of any grade level, requiring both an inside and outside school commitment. The audition required an interview and a vocal audition. Students will be tested on their range, vocal projection, and ear training. Students can arrange an audition with Mr. Hesse at any time.

Madrigals: An advanced choir for anyone of any grade level, requiring both an inside and outside school commitment. The audition requires an interview, vocal audition, and if necessary, callback decided at a later date. Students will be tested on their range, vocal projection, and ear training. Students can arrange an audition with Mr. Hesse at any time.
