Diploma Program (DP)

Diploma Program

Centennial High's IB Diploma Program is a two-year endeavor that involves students completing a rigorous curriculum to prepare them not only for success in higher education, but to be globally-minded citizens. In addition to the coursework involved, students are required to:

  • Complete Theory of Knowledge (TOK)
  • Submit an Extended Essay (EE), a 4,000 word college-level research paper
  • Complete Creativity, Action, Service (CAS)
  • Complete six IB exams by the end of their senior year

The Diploma Program may not be for every student, but those that complete the program have found value in the quality of the education and the high level of college preparation they have received over these two years. For a better idea of how college's view the program, take a look at Do Colleges Really Care?

A more detailed overview of the program is available in our program's brochure.
